A multi-story cancer research facility providing over 110,000 square feet of space for laboratories, as well as, clinical services. Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. performed subsurface investigation services, including twenty-eight (28) Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) soundings, and four (4) soil borings with Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) to depths of up to 100 feet below existing grade.

Geotechnical engineering services included site preparation considerations, and foundation recommendations. SES also provided consulting services for ancillary structures, such as: generators and associated underground fuel tanks, elevated pedestrian bridges, and protection of an existing underground structure.

During construction, SES provided assistance in the planning, performance and evaluation of pile load testing, impulse-echo pile integrity test, and construction materials testing for earthwork and concrete.
