Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. Project Engineer Raja Madhyannapu holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (focus in Geotechnical Engineering) from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He received his Masters in Civil Engineering (focus in Geotechnical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur, India, and his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, India.

Raja gained much experience as a Research Associate at both the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT where he conducted research on “sedimented fly ash deposits,” and in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at UTA where he conducted research on, “Deep mixing technology for stabilization of expansive subsoils.” He also served as a teaching assistant throughout his graduate studies and has been published in journals and at conferences.

He is a member of ASCE, Indian Geotechnical Society, and Tau Beta Pi Society.
