Mr. Copeland is on the Board of Directors of Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. He currently serves as the Regional Manager and Vice President (Alabama and Mississippi) at the Mobile, Alabama office of SESI. Mr. Copeland is a Registered Professional Engineer in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. He holds a BS Civil Engineering degree from the University of South Alabama where he was the President of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Lewis, a native Mobilian, began his career with SESI immediately after graduation in 1991. He has previously held positions as Staff Geotechnical Engineer and Drilling Department Manager. Lewis serves as our Nuclear Safety Officer as well as our AASHTO and US Army Corps of Engineers Laboratory Certification Director. He holds current ACI Field and Laboratory Testing Technician Grade 1 and ALDOT Aggregate and Superpave Asphalt Technician certifications. He is a member of ASCE, ASPE, ACEC and ACI.
