Mr. Guarino has over eight years of experience in conducting and managing environmental assessments, risk assessments, and remediation associated with underground storage tanks (USTs) and above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) as well as property transactions (Phase I/II) involving risk receptor surveys.

Mr. Guarino has supervised and prepared cost estimates for soil and groundwater assessments, and supervised and performed field activities ranging from planning monitor well and soil boring locations to installations and advancements. He has performed field sampling of soil and groundwater, data evaluation, and prepared Supplemental Assessment Reports (SAR) prior to completion of the Contamination Assessment Reports (CAR). He has performed and supervised groundwater monitoring (post active remediation and natural attenuation).

Mr. Guarino has also performed and reported on emergency response activities associated with above-ground and underground petroleum spills. Mr. Guarino has prepared and reviewed cost estimates; evaluated remedial strategies; performed and supervised pilot testing, data interpretation and remedial design; supervised installations of remedial system wells; supervised and performed trenching and piping activities; supervised and performed installation of remedial equipment; supervised and performed electrical installations for systems; performed systems startup and troubleshooting, operation/maintenance (including NPDES permitting) on over twenty remediation systems. The systems included groundwater pump, treat via submersible, liquid ring pumping systems, and air sparging/soil vapor extraction with treatment via carbon absorption and thermal oxidation.
