Matt Coaker, P.E.

Mr. Coaker has worked in the Geotechnical Engineering Department at Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. (SESI) since 2005. He began as an Engineering Intern (EI) after earning his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from the University of South Alabama. He obtained his Professional Engineering License in 2009 and is now the Geotechnical Department Manager for the Mobile, AL office of SESI. He maintains P.E. licenses in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), a Geotechnical Committee Member of the American Society of Foundation Engineers (ASFE) and serves as chair for the Young Constructors Forum (YCF) under the Mobile Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
His responsibilities as department manager include oversight and coordination of field investigations and geotechnical engineering efforts as well as performing design services and developing geotechnical recommendations for diverse projects across the southeast.
