SES’s Baton Rouge Office Has New Traveling Laboratory

The Baton Rouge trailer got a recent upgrade in the way of graphics wrapping the entire vehicle. The trailer will be used as an on-site laboratory for construction materials testing at the Shintech project as soon as the utilities and location are in place.Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. is providing construction materials testing services for the $1.4 billion expansion of a new ethane cracker facility at Shintech’s plant in Plaquemines Parish, LA. Shintech is the world’s largest polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics manufacturer and the ethylene plant will be the first built in the U.S. by a Japanese chemical company. The company also manufactures vinyl chloride monomer, or VCM, the key ingredient from which PVC plastics are made.
